Humanities Teacher (Grade 6 & 7)

First Branch Unified District encompasses Tunbridge and Chelsea students in grades PreK - 8th. We are currently seeking a 6th and 7th Grade Humanities Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The 6th,7th, and 8th grade team will work in a rotation of Humanities, Science, and Mathematics. At First Branch Unified District we are committed to offering a supportive, research-based, rigorous academic program with a focus on community and outdoor education to meet the needs of all our students. Paraeducator (K-2)

Job Description


First Branch Unified District Tunbridge Central School encompasses Tunbridge and Chelsea students in grades K-4th grade. We are currently seeking a paraeducator to work with a classroom teacher on the Tunbridge campus for the 2025-2026 school year. We are currently seeking a candidate with experience working with Kindergarten through 2nd grade students. For this role, most of the day will be spent in Kindergarten. An ideal candidate will understand early childhood development and have proven classroom/group management skills. In addition they are comfortable with outdoor learning experiences. Additional training in Wilson Fundations, Handle With Care, and Zones of Regulation will be provided. Librarian/Pathways Teacher

Job Description


The First Branch Unified School District, serving the communities of Chelsea and Tunbridge, Vermont, is seeking a dynamic and student-centered educator to serve as our Librarian and Pathways Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time position is based at the Chelsea Campus and will support students in grades PreK and 5th-8th. Position Overview: This unique role blends the responsibilities of a school librarian with teaching our Pathways class, a course designed to help students explore identity, personal interests, and future aspirations through project-based learning and social-emotional development. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about reading, inquiry-based learning, and helping students discover who they are and what they love. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming, inclusive library space and develop engaging Pathways lessons aligned with our school’s mission statement of: We are Kind, We are Strong, We are Well. Responsibilities Include: Library Responsibilities: Manage and maintain a vibrant, student-friendly library space Curate a diverse and inclusive collection that reflects student interests and supports curriculum needs Collaborate with classroom teachers to support literacy and research instruction Teach library and media literacy skills to students in grades PreK & 5th-8th Promote reading through book talks, displays, reading challenges, and author visits

Pathways Teaching Responsibilities: Design and implement a Pathways curriculum for middle school students focused on self-discovery, project-based learning, and career exploration Incorporate goal-setting, digital portfolios, reflection practices, and collaboration into Pathways classes Build connections with community partners for guest speakers or mini-internships Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Qualifications: Vermont educator license or eligibility for licensure required Certification in Library/Media Specialist preferred or willingness to pursue Experience working with PreK–8 students in a school setting Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Enthusiasm for literacy, social-emotional learning, and student voice and choice

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Preschool teacher to provide engaging and meaningful Preschool experiences for our youngest students with a focus on outdoor education and experiential learning. An ideal candidate will have a love of children, understanding of play-based learning, and early childhood development. The ideal candidate shall possess the following:

A current Vermont PreSchool certification. Experience working with preschool student and para educators Extensive content knowledge in early childhood education.
