Wendy Adams - Speech and Language Pathologist
wendy

Wendy Adams has been a Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) for 28 years, working in the school systems in Vermont.  She became an SLP because her grandfather was a severe stutterer and she wanted to know how to help him.  Her father has also been a special educator in Vermont Schools for many years, and he suggested that she take a course in this field while she was searching for a major in college,  and that was it, she was hooked.  She loves working with students on their understanding and expression of language, and she is passionate that every student has a “voice”, even if it is not the neurotypical voice we all first think of when communicating with others.

Wendy also enjoys crafting, spending time with her family in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont in the summers at their campsite, and watching her son and daughter grow into young adults. She can be reached at wadams@wrvsu.org

Megan Cavanaug is the new Math Interventionist at Tunbridge School this year. She has always had a deep love of numbers. She would count until she fell asleep at night as a kid, notice mathematical patterns everywhere, and is a big fan of the Fibonacci Sequence. She has been teaching Kindergarten the past five years and is excited to explore mathematics more deeply with students of all ages.

She grew up in the small town of Denmark, Maine and has been living in Vermont for the past five years. She has a cat named Lulu Bear and moved to Berlin this summer with her fiance. When she's not teaching math, she loves to be outside hiking mountains, exploring local trails, reading, making art, listening to music, and playing games.

She is so excited to start this new adventure with such a sweet community and looks forward to meeting you and your children! She can be reached at: mcavanaugh@wrvsu.org

Cynthia Allen - Chelsea Math Interventionist

Cynthia is grateful for her family.  She graduated from Williamstown high school along with all four of her brothers.  Her husband and her three children, as well as two of their three spouses, all graduated from Chelsea.  Teaching is her second career, and she still doesn't know what she wants to be when she grows up.

She likes to ski in the winter and camp in the summer as well as ride bikes and paddleboard.  Vermont has over 800 bodies of water, over 10 acres, and we have not even been to a quarter of them.
