Leila LaRosa - One Planet Coordinator

Ms. Leila is the site director of the Chelsea One Planet after school program and co-director of First Branch’s summer enrichment programs. Leila grew up in PA and has lived in Vermont for the last 21 years. She has a varied professional background that includes working in renewable energy development and for Vermont’s ANR, being a park ranger and interpretive naturalist for our amazing state park system, owning and operating an off-grid dogsledding and winter guide service business in the wild and wonderful NEK, and many years of developing outdoor and experiential educational programming for children and adults. Leila is an enthusiastic lifelong learner, lover of new adventures and unabashed cat lady who loves gardening, cooking, spending time outdoors, anime and cosplay, reading, writing, crafting, traveling the world and spending time with her family and friends. She lives in the hills of Chelsea with her husband Nick, daughter Chloe (who is way cooler than she ever was) and cats India and Ostar. You can reach her at llarosa@wrvsu.org

One Planet is an afterschool program whose mission is to create a dynamic learning environment that inspires and supports students in becoming compassionate global citizens and passionate lifelong learners.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Please know that if the daily fee is too expensive, there are options available.  As a first option, families would apply for Child Care Financial Assistance through the VT DCF.  Contact the Family Place for an application at 802-649-3268 or athttp://www.familyplacevt.org/child-care/. Should a family be denied assistance, partial and full scholarships are available through One Planet.

HALF-DAYS: Each of our sites has a slightly different ½ day schedule.  Please reach out to your Site Coordinator to get the most up-to-date ½ schedule.
