Ms. Hannah joined the First Branch Unified District in the fall of 2023 as the Preschool Director and teacher. She started in the Early Childhood field in 2004. She holds an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education and Bachelors degree in Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development. She currently holds a VT educator license for Birth-Grade 3
Lisa Ellis is a native Vermonter who left to explore but came back home to put down roots. She studied Human Development in college and spent the first part of her career working for NAEYC early childhood programs in California, Boston, and Chicago. She attended graduate school in Illinois, where she focused on Special Education for children, Birth to PK, while also getting her teaching certification. After working in the Quality Rating System for Illinois', she returned to Vermont to work in public schools. She has taught preschool, early childhood special education, and 1st grade in Vermont. She has fallen in love with using the seasons of Vermont to support children's growth, development, and learning in the early years. She enjoys hanging out with her fur baby- Coco the Cat- cooking, gardening, snowshoeing, cycling, yoga, and swimming.
