7-8th Humanities Teacher

First Branch Unified District encompasses Tunbridge and Chelsea students in grades PreK - 8th.

We are currently seeking a 7-8th Grade Humanities Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The

7-8th grade team will work in a rotation of Humanities, Science, Mathematics and Pathways. At

First Branch Unified District we are committed to offering a supportive, research-based, rigorous

academic program with a focus on community and outdoor education to meet the needs of all our

students. The ideal candidate shall possess the following:

● Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License

● A current teaching endorsement or eligibility for Middle Grades English & Social

Studies

● Experience working with middle school students

● Multi-sensory reading training and/or training in the science of reading

● Proven classroom management skills (Responsive Classroom)

● Ability to connect and communicate with students and guardians

● Value flexible thinking, problem solving, collaboration with colleagues, and a

commitment to every student can learn.
