Wendy Adams has been a Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) for 28 years, working in the school systems in Vermont. She became an SLP because her grandfather was a severe stutterer and she wanted to know how to help him. Her father has also been a special educator in Vermont Schools for many years, and he suggested that she take a course in this field while she was searching for a major in college, and that was it, she was hooked. She loves working with students on their understanding and expression of language, and she is passionate that every student has a “voice”, even if it is not the neurotypical voice we all first think of when communicating with others.
Wendy also enjoys crafting, spending time with her family in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont in the summers at their campsite, and watching her son and daughter grow into young adults. She can be reached at wadams@wrvsu.org
