Mr Lou is the Head of Maintenance for both of our FBUD schools. A graduate of Chelsea High School he has lived and worked in the surrounding communities most of his life. He enjoys helping others and making sure that both school campuses and everyone who calls them their school home are well taken care of and thriving. He enjoys all things outdoors and team sports,especially baseball. He has helped coach multiple teams over the years and is also a VT hunter education instructor. He likes passing on his knowledge of sports and the great outdoors to future generations of outdoors people ! Most of all Mr Lou is grateful to see our students grow and learn as they make their way through the grades at each school. He lives with his son Cooper on a small family farm. Cathy Sample - Kitchen Manager
Cathy has always lived in Orange County and has lived in Chelsea for over half of her life. Cathy is a Chelsea High School alum graduating in 1993. Cathy has been working at Chelsea since 2008 as the Kitchen Manager.
She enjoys visiting VT general stores. Cathy also enjoys visiting the beach at Wells, Maine. For hobbies she likes to sew, make beaded earrings, bicycle and read. Cathy’s favorite season is fall and she loves touring around Vermont seeing foliage. Cathy considers Chelsea school her familiar second home, she thinks it’s kind of neat that she graduated from Chelsea, both of her children attended Chelsea and now she works here! Virginia Fifield - Kitchen Assistant
Virginia is a native Vermonter and has worked in the Chelsea cafeteria for the past 7 years. Virginia’s daughter, Emily, was among the last class to graduate from Chelsea Public High School in 2018. Emily is currently a senior at UVM. Virginia volunteers at the Williamstown food shelf and provides numerous Chelsea families with gifts during the holidays with the support of local businesses. Jan Smith - FBUD Sub
Jan and her husband, Bill, love the town of Chelsea and have been community members for years. Jan has been a substitute teacher at Chelsea School for eight years where she is a familiar face to students of all ages. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing and cooking. Tracy Simon - Chelsea Sub
Ms. Tracy lives in Chelsea, but is originally from East Montpelier, VT. After a career in Law Enforcement, she continues to serve her community by substitute teaching. She is very interested in Colonial Vermont and Revolutionary War history. She writes fiction, cooks way too much, sews clothing and enjoys the outdoors. You can reach Tracy at tsimon@wrvsu.org.
Larry Cusick - Tech Support
Mr. Cusick hails from Westchester County in NY and moved to New Hampshire 17 years ago. Before working for WRVSU, he worked for a mapmaking company in VT and at Dartmouth College for 12 years in Student Accessibility Services. While his background education is in environmental science, he enjoys his current role problem-solving tech issues and providing assistance to all constituents–students, faculty, and staff.
When not staring at a screen, Mr. Cusick enjoys time with his family and pets, hockey, darts, puzzles, model making, music, breathing, and being outdoors.

Casey has lived in Chelsea her whole life and loves being a part of the community. She is a reliable source of positivity in the school and has a great rapport with her students.
